Taylor had been covering at the shop for Snake and Mason both. He understood why the men wanted to stay home but it was draining him. He was exhausted after the past two days. It had been long hours and a lot of the work orders hadn't been easy. After talking to Snake they agreed to close the shop for a day so Taylor could relax.

By the time he got back to the place he shared with Butterfly all he wanted was a cold beer and a shower. He was covered in dirt and oil. Coming in the apartment he tried not to touch anything as he went to get a beer.

Everyone did things on Valentine's day. He knew Butterfly didn't care much for holidays. Personally he didn't either. Why wait for a holiday anyway? Taylor came home from work and still didn't have much of a plan. He lived with Butterfly but for him there was a very awkward hanging between being friends and being a couple. He never mentioned it to her because he knew she was happy as things were. He wasn't exactly unhappy with them but the situation was odd.

Either way he wasn't deterred. After a shower he dressed in something a little more than he normally would. He didn't want anything too fancy but dinner and a night out might do them both some good. All he had to do now was find out where Butterfly was.

OOC: PB change

Since there are few icons/images available of Joe Unger who originally portrayed Taylor I've opted to change his PB. I've chosen Timothy Hutton. He's in the right age range, has the rumpled look usually and seemed to fit all around to the character. Not sure if it will stay this way but I am trying it out.

Taylor had gone to the shop to help Snake or at least that was his pretense. Of course he had gone but only after he was certain that Butterfly would be in for the day. He'd told her he would be back later in the afternoon.

While he was out he had roses and a anklet sent to her. He spent the day wondering how she would react but he was about to find out as he headed back to her place. He really was kind of nervous when he came back into her place.

Taylor had taken longer than he expected but he did come back with a stack of gift wrapped boxes ... that contained... )

He set the packages down on the table and pulled off his coat. "Butterfly."

Taylor had been away for a few days with Snake. They'd been working on a job and honestly it brought a lot of Taylor's confidence back. It was good to hear Snake still looked to him for advice even after all the time that had passed for his friend. Still it was good to come back; to see Butterfly, to give Snake some time with his family and honestly get away from the kids for awhile. Snake had dropped him off on his way to work and Taylor headed up to her apartment. He still knocked even if this was kind of where he stayed. It was a courtesy and to show his respect if nothing more.

At Butterfly's Place

It had been a day since they went to Snake's and Taylor had been quiet most of that time. Snake had changed so much in what Taylor thought was no time, a few weeks maybe a month at most. Now he knew for Snake it had been over ten years. It was hard to grasp, harder to understand and almost impossible to come to terms with. There were other things getting at him too. The fact that some of his friend's family actually liked the thing that tormented Snake was shocking. ON the other hand seeing Snake with a family and how happy it made him made that a little easier to stomach. He had beautiful girls even if they were adopted. They all seemed to have part of their dad's personality.

Thinking things through made things easier and he relaxed. Finally he got up to make a sandwich and see what Butterfly was up to. He hadn't seen her in awhile and thought maybe she'd laid down for a nap. Taylor decided to check before getting something to eat and headed for her room.

Brothers (for Snake and Butterfly)

Taylor hadn't slept much. There were too many things on his mind. One was going to see Snake. After all he had heard he wondered if Snake would accept him. He knew the man's paranoia too well. He wasn't going to just give in. There'd be questions and scrutiny. Taylor was used to that. Plissken had always been that way.

The other was the woman sleeping in the bedroom. He still didn't understand her. She invited him here to stay and seemed to flirt but then she seemed stand-offish too. He wondered what she was thinking. Taylor had never been as good with deducing what people were thinking. It made him wish Snake was here just to have his insight.

Taylor figured he would have that soon enough. That was if he could find Snake's shop. glancing over at the clock Taylor saw it was already almost 9 a.m. He wondered how long Butterfly would sleep and if Plissken was still a morning person. There were too many things to think about. Too many what ifs at the moment and Taylor wasn't fond of it.
